Osurnia Ear Gel is a centrally authorized veterinary medicinal product through the European Medicines Agency/European Medicines Agency (EMA).

The Scientific Committee for Medicinal Products for Veterinary Use warns of the occurrence of eye injury following accidental exposure.

Two cases of corneal ulcers in humans have been reported. Other reported symptoms in humans include eye irritation, conjunctivitis, redness, burning, stinging pain and itching.

Care should therefore be taken to prevent Osurnia Ear Gel from coming into contact with the treated dog's eyes, the eyes of other animals or people.

It is recommended to hold the dog's head while applying the veterinary drug to prevent the animal from shaking its head and thus splashing the veterinary drug around.

In the event of accidental eye contact, the eyes should be flushed thoroughly with water for 10 to 15 minutes.

Veterinarians are requested to report all adverse reactions associated with Osurnia Ear Gel immediately to the Federal Office for Safety in Health Care.
