The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by the Danish authorities that the Danish tissue bank Cryos International - Aarhus ApS has provided the following information:
One offspring of sperm donor 14346 has been diagnosed with "Severe Bilateral Hearing Loss".
The donor/gametes have been blocked.
If you have any queries, please contact the Federal Office for Safety in Health Care at gewebevigilanz@basg.gv.at or contact the tissue bank from which the sperm donation was obtained directly.
This letter corresponds to the current status of information from the BASG. Further information will be provided as soon as it is available.
