The European Veterinary Medicine Safety Day, a Europe-wide initiative of the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the Federation of Veterinarians of Europe (FVE) and the national medicines authorities, takes place once a year. 

The aim of this day of action is to sensitise both veterinarians and animal owners to the importance of reporting adverse reactions following the use of veterinary medicinal products. The reporting of suspected adverse reactions makes a decisive contribution to further improving the safety and efficacy of veterinary medicinal products.
