Cryos International - Aarhus ApS- Donor: DK257551 - AGNAR New
The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by the Danish authorities that the Danish tissue bank Cryos International - Aarhus ApS has provided the following information:
Two unrelated offspring of the sperm donor DK257551 - AGNAR were born with an extra finger. No other malformations are described in the children and no hereditary causes are known. The donor is healthy and there is no one in his family with malformations, an extra finger or other hand anomalies. Even if there are no signs of dominant inheritance on the part of the donor, a low risk of recurrence (<10%) cannot be ruled out.
The donor/gametes have been blocked, but can be used for siblings.
