Cryos International - Aarhus ApS- Donor: DK257551 - BOSCO New
The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by the Danish authorities that the Danish tissue bank Cryos International - Aarhus ApS has provided the following information:
An offspring of the sperm donor DK257551 - BOSCO has been diagnosed with "Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia". The child has two variants in the DNAAF4 gene that are thought to cause the disease. The variant that presumably originates from the donor is the c.430dup p. (Ite144Asnfs.8) in the DNAAF4 gene.
The donor/gametes have been blocked but can be used for siblings.
