The Federal Office for Health Safety has been informed by the Danish authority that the Danish tissue bank Cryos International - Aarhus ApS has provided the following information:
A variant in the COL3A1 gene has been detected in two donor conceived children of sperm donor FINN/2771.
The donor and the donor’s gametes are blocked.
If you have any queries, please contact the Federal Office for Health Safety at gewebevigilanz@basg.gv.at or the tissue bank from which the sperm donation was obtained directly.
This letter reflects the BASG’s current information. Any further information will be announced as soon as it becomes available.
