The Danish authority has informed the Federal Office for Health Security that the Danish tissue bank, European Sperm Bank ApS, has provided the following information:
Sperm donor 45056/Sebastian is a carrier of phenylketonuria (PKU).
The donor and the donor’s gametes have been permanently suspended.
If you have any queries, please contact the Federal Office for Health Safety at gewebevigilanz@basg.gv.at or the tissue bank from which the sperm donation was obtained directly.
This letter reflects the BASG’s current information. Any further information will be announced as soon as it becomes available.
