European Sperm Bank - Donor: 8305 Glean New

The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by the Danish authorities that the Danish tissue bank European Sperm Bank has provided the following information:
A female offspring of the sperm donor 8305 Glean has been diagnosed with congenital muscular dystrophy type 1A (MDC1A).
The donor/gametes have been permanently blocked.
If you have any questions, please contact the Federal Office for Safety in Health Care at gewebevigilanz@basg.gv.at or contact the tissue bank from which the sperm donation was obtained directly.
This letter corresponds to the current information status of the BASG. Further information will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
