Telephone inquiries / calls on behalf of AGES - Update

messages in brief | 16/10/2014

Status 06.09.2014:

The BASG / AGES Medical Market Surveillance became aware that dubious persons were contacting by telephone in the name of AGES pharmaceutical companies, or that these persons were posing as AGES employees in order to request personal or company-related data from pharmaceutical companies.

In this regard, we would like to inform you that we do not request any personal or company-related data by telephone, nor do we commission or have commissioned third parties - in this specific case a call center - to do so.

Should someone contact you by telephone in the name of AGES or as an employee of AGES in order to request relevant data, we ask you to have this request confirmed by e-mail or to notify the Federal Office for Safety in Health Care / AGES Medical Market Surveillance of the request and/or existing contact data of the caller at the e-mail address basg_anfragen@ages.at.

After internal examination of the data forwarded by you, we will contact you immediately.

Should the need arise, we will consider legal action after consultation.

As of 16.10.2014:

In the meantime, AGES has filed a complaint in this case on the basis of the data available so far.
