TKTX Tattoo-Creme

The BASG warns against the use of TKTX Tattoo-Creme and similar illegal local anesthetics that contain the active pharmaceutical ingredients lidocaine, prilocaine, epinephrine or a combination of these. These ointments are mainly sold for pain relief after tattoo, permanent make-up, and piercing through non-domestically registered webshops or online marketplaces.

TKTX Tattoo-Creme is an unauthorised and therefore illegal medicine that is not subject to any official controls regarding composition, safety, quality, or effectiveness.

The unknowing intake of active pharmaceutical ingredients with unknown concentrations poses a significant health risk. Any adverse reactions may not be recognized or are recognized too late or cannot be treated adequately.
