Update: West Nile Virus (WNV)

The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care has been informed by ECDC (European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control) that 1 additional human WNV infection has been recorded in Germany.

New affected region is: Halle (Saale) Kreisfreie Stadt.

We therefore ask you to pay attention to this in your medical history discussions and donor selections. This letter corresponds to the current state of information of the BASG.
