Update: West Nile Virus (WNV) – France New

The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care (BASG) has been informed by the French authorities that ID WNV NAT testing for donations of blood and blood components has been introduced in the following regions due to reported cases:

Aude, Ardèche, Bouches-du-Rhône, Essonne, Hérault, Pyrénées-Orientales

For further information, please refer to the following safety warnings. We kindly ask you to pay attention to this during anamnesis interviews and donor selections.
