The Federal Office for Safety in Health Carewas informed by the Hungarian authority authority that the the first human WNV-infections in Hungary were recorded. The affected areas are Szeged and Deszk (Csongrád County), Szajol (Jasz-Nagykun-Szolnok County), Üllö (Pest County), and the XIIth and XVIIth districts of Budapest.
It is therefore requested that appropriate attention be paid to this in the medical history interviews and donor selections. requested.
