To the Federal Office for Security in the Health Care was given from the Italian authority informed that two blood donors in the Provinces Mantova and Cremona (region Lombardia) WNV NAT positive tested were tested positive.
Furthermore was from four symptomatic human WNV-cases (of which two neuroinvasive diseases) in the Provinces Verona, Rovigo (RegionVeneto) and Reggio Emilia (Region Emilia Romagna) reports.
To corresponding attention in the anamnesis interviews and donor selections is therefore requested.
