WNV Spain Update

The Federal Office for Safety in Health Care was informed by ECDC that the first locally acquired human WNV infection in Spain was recorded in the Badajoz region. We therefore ask for appropriate attention in the anamnesis discussions and donor selection.

This letter corresponds to the current information status of the BASG. As soon as further information is available, it will be announced.
