The Austrian Federal Office for Safety in Health Care (BASG) has been informed by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) that, in addition to the region already announced in Hungary, further autochthonous human West Nile virus (WNV) infections have been reported in the counties of Bács-Kiskun and Pest.
